The school is part of St Mary's Parish Bellingen and is a member of the Lismore Diocese school system. The school Vision Statement is contained in the website and clearly states the role of the school as an education agent within the Catholic Church. St Mary's Primary School is a happy place where children, parents, friends and staff can go about their daily tasks in a pleasant, secure Christian environment.
Our school is proud of the many and varied achievements of our students, the staff who support them, and the sense of community that comes within an environment where everyone is encouraged and recognised for the part they play in school life – whether in academic, sporting or cultural roles, or a combination of these.
Finding a balance in each of these facets of school life is a key goal of St Mary's Primary School, with the aim to developing individuals of intellect and compassion who have a healthy enthusiasm for life.
St Mary’s strong academic results speak for themselves. However it is the quality of open-mindedness, eagerness to pursue goals, a caring attitude to the world, and a sense of loyalty and responsibility that St Mary’s Primary School values and celebrates.
